Flying geese is a traditional quilt block made with right-angle isosceles triangles. While the result appears exceedingly simple, sewing it accurately is a challenge and quilters everywhere will have a different favoured methods. In traditional quilts, flying geese form a straight line. For that reason, they are commonly used in borders. Nature, however, isn’t quite so tidy. In this small wall quilt, I experimented with bending lines of flying geese, freeing them from geometric constraint. 100% Cotton.
